Social law #4

People only really want to believe what comforts them. Think religion. Personally, I believe that everything is materialistic. That comforts me. Others think that God exists, that comforts them. Im not saying I'm better, just pointing out the reality of it.

The logical idiot

Logic is a rather interesting thing. I'd say most people are not logical beings. Most people are driven by emotion and bias. I think it's possible to be incredibly intelligent, yet not very logical. And vice versa. Though it seems like an oxymoron to say the illogical genuis, I'd say it's a very possible thing. That's because, you can be smart in any number of things. You can be a smart mechanic, or a smart trucker. Nobody is smart about everything. Intelligence is different in that it's more about your potential to be smart about various things. Not very intelligent people may cap out at being smart about trucking. Extremely intelligent people are potentially limitless in what they can do, but more notably, not in what they will do. Laziness

It's been a while yet again since I last kept up with this. Mostly I've just been lazy. The title of this post. Laziness. As is common with me, I find myself wondering who I want to be. I'm a musician now. I play in a band called Gigas and it's alot of fun. That's where I've been focusing alot of my effort, and it's been therapeutic for me much like how this blog was. But it's wrought me a ton of questions. Like whether I want to pursue music as a career. It's something I've pretty much always wanted to do. Ever since I was little. But you know. It's not something to be relied on. So my fall back is law school. Yeah that's right, me a lawyer. It's pretty nuts to think about. But is it what I really want? I find myself dating this girl. And I like her, I really do. But part of me wonders whether I should be with her. Whether I'm at my best at my worst. Weird as that may sound, I often feel it's true. That I'm most miserable...

The 3 legs of life

So, this is technically a repost. I didn't like the format of the other ones, so I deleted them. Anyways, this post will explain what I like to call the 3 legs of life. It was a concept explained in a YouTube video I once watched and I thought it was interesting. So basically, it's like this. There are 3 legs of life. Social, love, and work. Social includes things like hanging out with your friends, or family, or whoever. Love is obvious. Work also includes school. So, you have those three legs. In order to be good at ony one of them, you have to focus on that one more than the other two. I think of it like this. You have 100% focus to work with. You CAN give 1/3 of that focus to each leg, but then each leg will only have around 33% focus. That's not alot. You'll basically suck at everything. You can distribute your focus however you want, but being a jack of all trades doesn't seem to be very conducive to liking life. So, what are your priorities? How do YOU distr...
